Internationally renowned facilitator / interactive learning specialist -
passionate about bringing diverse people together for learning and dialogue
My work as a facilitator is to help groups find clarity in complexity. To explore humanity, share knowledge, strengthen community and find meaning individually and collectively. To discover themselves and each other. And in doing so, to reclaim their voice, change legislation, re-design programs and budgets, find community, explore grief and rage, renew mission, vision and strategy after mergers or downsizing, partner with those they serve to gather new research …
My specialty is dialogic methods that scale up (only one facilitator needed for a group of 5 or 3000+), that work across country and culture (without requiring participants to learn someone else’s vocabulary; without working through the facilitators’s own cultural filter), and in which participants frame their own experience (rather than the facilitator doing so).
When I say dialogic, I mean those processes which engage participants in internal and external dialogue: conversation with self, conversation with others. And when I say conversation, I do not mean everyone has to speak aloud. Witnessing - fully listening - is participation just as much as speaking. I use existing and custom-designed processes which engage participants in verbal conversation, silent reflection, kinesthetic and graphic thinking, role play and spoken word / poetry creation.
I have facilitated, consulted, given workshops and collaborated in learning exchanges in Spanish and in English in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Euskal Herria, Germany, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Mozambique, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United States and Zambia - and within those settings people of many more countries and cultures.
I have worked with groups where only one person showed up, and groups of 3500.

I am not currently taking new clients - however I welcome you to contact me if you would like a referral to a skilled facilitator who works in the same realm of methods and processes as my areas of specialty.
